Worktable height

I am halfway through completing the tailcone and am finding I need a
stepstool to reach into the cone to drill and rivet. My table is currently
waist height. I am considering lowering the table to a more workable height
but don't want to do it too soon. I'm sure many of you have gone there done
that, so I await your advice. Is there an optimum height for working on the
fuselage? At what point in the build process should I drop the table?

Worktable height

Roland,
I originally had my table on castors, then removed them to get more
clearance with the full fuselage height from the garage door opening. Don't
remember the exact heights, maybe 27" in the lowered mode, but then easy
to shim up again when and if desired. (I shimmed anyway to level the table.)

I had to get rid of my table as I'm space constrained (still no hangar yet,
working at home, which btw obviously has advantages too). I was worried
about getting rid of it too soon, but did so after finishing the tailcone,
forward cabin including all floor channels, inside and outside wraps, up
through firewall, Fus-9s and cabin roof. I spent plenty of time on a step
ladder, which really didn't bother me. I felt my timing was good wrt when
lowering and when unloading the table.
