Finally got Wayne's canoe loader installed. Here is a video of my first test
flight with it.

Works beautiful. Can't even tell it is there in flight, except for having to
use slight right rudder in cruise (even though it is mounted on the right
float). Banked it back and forth up to 30 degrees, and feels normal.
Take-offs and landings are completely normal. Haven't flown enough to see
how much I lost in cruise and climb, but don't think it is very much from
what I could tell on these first flights. I have the narrow stern back
instead of the wide stern like Wayne's.
Going to be a fun summer coming up.

First test flight with my canoe
First test flight with my canoe
Walter,
Thanks for posting this. Very inspirational for those of us still in the rivet
trenches! And if someone thinks I'm crazy for having chosen this hobby, I
can point them to your video and it starts to look like maybe they're the
crazy one for having chosen golf. LOL!
