FUS-5: horizontal holes for conduit
Posted: Sun Feb 19, 2012 6:03 pm
Hi All,
Looked through the archives but could not find anything about drilling holes
horizontally (down the centerline of the aircraft) through the FUS-5 tubes to
install a conduit. I know some have routed fuel lines at the edges (through
the existing holes in the gussets) but would a 1/4" or 5/16" hole right down
the center of both FUS-5s compromise the structural integrity of the unit?
How about 1/2"?
I'm guessing there's a reason it hasn't been done....;)
