Call the guys that built if for you and see if Greg will trade you a set of
3/8 bushings...and tell you how to change them..... since they cost $40 or
so EACH ! Why I wish you hadn't gone direct as these things get taken care
of when I play middle man.... :O)))

Hi all

I guess I have a problem with my prop and prop flange

Prop says on it to use an6 (3/8) bolts

But when engine was built it had an7 (7/16) lugs installed

So questions is can I change out the lugs for smaller size or does a shop
have to do it, assume they are a press fit, is there special tool to use
besides a sledge hammer

Perhaps wayne you can tell me size for your prop lugs since we have same
engine, except for the 160 hp in mine

Cheers

[rebel-builders] prop bolt sizes

There are so few props out there for O-320's with 7/16 bolts..... that I
always change the bushings to 3/8, when I have engines built, because of the
massive selection of new and used props for O-320's with that diameter bolt.
Other issue is if you start with a 3/8 bolt prop.. you have that same
massive market to sell to if you want to change it out. If you have a 7/16
prop.. market is darn limited.

If Greg has a set there.. don't think he'll make a big stink swapping.
