idiot lights

Hello fellow builders,
The desire for idiot lights for the oil pressure, oil temperature,
etc. led me to a product that you may be interested in. The part is made
by Auto-Meter, it is called the TRI-ALERT triple gauge warning system,
part number 5347. I am using their Z series electrical gauges and the
TRI-ALERT allows you to set a trip point that will illuminate a warning
light or sound an audio alarm (not included) for up to three gauges. The
TRI-ALERT allows you to select high or low warning settings. The box
itself costs about $ 70.00 U.S. (I'm in MA, USA) and is available
through Summit Racing 1-800-230-3030. You can also check it out at the
Auto Meter web site.
One bright spot has come to my project. I submitted my aircraft
registration paperwork to the FAA and was pleasantly surprised to
receive my specially requested number and the registration in just 3
weeks. I received excellent support from all of the FAA employees at the
FSDO in Bedford, MA, the MIDO in Burlington, MA and in Oklahoma City,
OK.
Bye,
I hope you guys that keep saying "it's worth it" are right.
Thanks to all who contribute here.
