Is the 1inch tubing the right size for the aileron push pull tube? The clearance is extremely tight and seems to rub on the bulkheads.

Aileron Push Pull Tube

Hi All,

Sorry I have been away.

Thanks Jeff I had thought about down sizing but agree. Not such a good Idea,

Ted you are right it's the tube in the wing and the rivets are rubbing on both the aileron bulk head (the curved part that faces the wing, the rivets are also rubbing on the wing spar. I have ground a few thousandths off the spar and adjusted the side play on the aileron, clearance is ok have also spread the aileron bulkheads apart a few thousanths and seem to be getting clearance but just a few thousanths.
Next I think I need to shim the aileron bushings to prevent side to side motion on the aileron. Thinking of using nylon spacers.

Any comments please advise.

Thanks,
