Elevator Install

Post by David R. Greaton » Sun Feb 19, 2012 6:02 pm

Hi All,

First of all I would like to thank all of you for all the help and Ideas. I've gotten a lot of great responses and haven't conveyed my sincere thanks yet so here it is.

I'm trying to install my horizontal stabilizer and elevator. Problem is the elevator has zero clearance, I am unable to move it up or down it rubs firmly on the rear of the vertical stabilizer. I haven't been able to put bolts in the elevator ( too tight ).
Has any one had this problem and what is the fix.

By the way this is a quick build 3500. These parts were assembled in the Philippines.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all so much. I'm not happy but I guess it's all part of building a homebuilt. I'll start drilling tomorrow.

Cheers,
