Moose FUS-710 door post strut tie-in

Post by Ted Waltman » Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:59 pm

Picture of FUS-710 uploaded to S/M 123 Miscellaneous.

Looking at the 3500 mods section in the Moose manual. Chapter 1, gear box
area chapter dated 15/10/01. This shows a "FUS-710 Door Post Strut Tie In"
channel-type piece. This piece is not shown in later versions of the gear
box chapter. Yet, the rest of the parts that this FUS-710 attaches to on a
recent Moose (serial # 296) are the same thickness as an older kit (serial #
142). I mention this thickness issue because if the underlying parts aren't
any thicker/stronger, then why did Murphy decide not to include this FUS-710
on subsequent kits? What kit serial # did the FUS-710 get dropped?

Any insight on this part? Should one fabricate one and add it to newer
kits?

Thank you!

Ted Waltman
