Ted Waltman and myself have posted it in the past, you should be able to
find it in the archives. If you don't find it I will look it up for you. I
think it is on about the last page in chapter 12, might be 12* up and down.

Hi All,

What is the up and down travel on the ailerons? (or where in the manual can
I find this info)

Where has every one been positioning the heated pitot tube?

Thanks

DAVE: Here is what is in the CD Manual. It is just below Chapter 26 in the
Index. Hope this helps.

Control Surface Deflection Guide

In response to enquiries from builders for guidance in setting up their
control surface deflections,
the following guidlines have been established. The following deals with the
Rebel aircraft and is
applicable to both amatuer (experimental) built and ultrlight built models.

Elevator

The elevator is best set up to a 25 degree movement both up and down in
travel. Minimum deflection
should be 6-1/4" or 20 degrees and maximum deflection is 8-1/2" or 30
degrees.

Rudder

Rudder movement, side-to-side, should be minimum 12" and maximum 13-1/2".
The ideal arrangement is
a 25 degree throw.

Ailerons (Flaperon)

Ailerons need to be setup with differential, more up movement than down, to
effect correct handling. The
ideal arrangement is for a 4" up movement combined with a 3-1/4" down
movement. This will minimize
adverse yaw. Minimal up movement is 3" and 2-3/4" downwards.

Flap (Flaperon)

Flap deflection should be restricted to 3-1/2" or 15 degrees. Due to the
fact that the Rebel employs
flaperons, not flaps, deflection can not be greater than 15 degrees

Chap 12, page 36. Minimum up & down 12* for the SR/Moose.

I just measured mine a couple of weeks ago--I'm pretty sure it is 25* up &
down on mine (but I didn't write the value down). I've heard of other folks
getting slightly lower values 17*. I'll check it this Saturday to make sure
and post if it is different.

Ted
