their Rebel I sure would like to hear from you.

still have a question. Consider the following. I plan to certify my Rebel at
1320 Lbs. and have an old Scott 2000 (6" hard rubber tire) tail wheel off my

FWIW, I have the Iron Designs tailwheel on a modified Champ spring. It's
very high quality workmanship. I can't say much about how it works yet
though, because the longest I've run it at one time so far is about 8
ft. --
pushing by hand. :) Hopefully, that statistic will get longer before too
long.

I had a rear fuselage failure on the left side when I required the Scott
2000 (old number 24B) to jump about a 1 1/2" pavement edge. Partly
because of its small diameter, partly because it is hard and partly
because the fuse did not have one of the later reinforcements in the
tail end, I got a couple of wrinkles in the tailcone which were a lot
harder to fix than they are to make up initially. Keep away from little
jumps and it will likely be okay. I think the hard wheels have been
largely successful for most people but not in this case. A common
comment is that the pneumatic tire is a good deal more pleasant to taxi
with and I would second that. I sold my 24B and got the 3200.
