FAA Logbook Examples

I placed a Word document showing logbook sample entries for initial FAA
airworthiness, release from phase 1 flight test, inspections, oil changes,
repairs and annual inspection. It is located in the Elite-General
Documentation section. It is not Elite specific and should be useful to all
builders.

I've never found a good reference on how to fill out maintenance logbooks
for either certified or home-built airplanes. For US builders, the FAA does
not require a specific format or details, but does require some written
description of work, your name, signature and Repairman's Certificate
number. Reference to FAR 43, Appendix D is important as is the abbreviation
I/A/W (in accordance with), with respect to manufacturer's maintenance
manuals and procedures.

It is best to keep your logbook entries concise. Just the facts.

As with previous recent posts, I hope this helps save you time getting your
airplane in the air.
