They are online, at: www.canadiantire.com - the
heater
is listed under online specials, automotive. I'm not sure how you
will make out ordering - they have provision for membership online,
or by postal code, but I don't know if it will accept zip codes.
Worth a try, though !!
-------

Bob,

I didn't try to place an order last night but when the web site asked for
a postal code so the site could serve me better I entered a US zip and it
was able to navigate around the site.

FWIW, Charles Dixon tried to order from Canadian Tire on line and they
apparently <will not> ship to the U.S.A. Due to his "gold level" customer
status with me (he does have land in Alaska you know, but I don't know about
any gold finds!) I went out and bought the last 2 defroster/heaters our
Midland CTC store had in stock, at the sale price of $19.99. One for him to
ship off to Mississippi, and one for me. They are nice little units that
looks like they have numerous uses. Either clip in place on the dash, or
unclip and use it for side windows or stick it down your pants if things are
getting cold! I plugged one in to the cig socket on my wife's CH701, that I
have in the shop changing the windshield, and it ran full speed off the
battery. That said, it isn't a real heavy current drawer and has nice air
flow with enough heat gain to clear a windshield pretty good I think.

Thanks for the update, Wayne !! It's too bad CTC won't sell to
the USA - they've been a pretty useful resource up here !! ;-)

Sounds like I should run out and try to grab one (or 2) of those
defrosters myself - could be handy !!
