Hi Hjalmar
I used MEK to remove some PRC1422 after having removed as much as
possible
with a sharp modelling knife (without touching the ali skin)
It's hard work and only do it in a well fumigated and ventilated area.
The
fumes smell nice (to me anyway :-) but are potentially lethal !!!!

The guys that started to build the floats I bought used Prc in excess. Is

PRC..

[rebel-builders] Pro Seal removal

Sounds like you've used the Nyroc blades Roger (snap on link:
http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp ... =77339&gro
up_ID=20032) They sure seem similar in concept/use to phenolic scrapers
(link: http://www.yardstore.com/search.htm).

I bought a bunch of the roloc bristle pads that Jeff suggested as they were
25% off at MSC Direct last week. I have a pro-seal removal project that I'm
in the midst of (persistent, small though annoying leak in one tank). I'll
post my thoughts on the use of the bristle pads if I get a relatively warm
day to work in the hangar.

I'm still thinking dynamite as one person suggested is the best way <grin>.

[rebel-builders] Pro Seal removal

Posted: Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:54 pm

Yes Ted, these blades are one of those tools that I wish I had discovered
earlier as they work so well.

The kit I bought was :
http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp ... ir=catalog

Which was the best value with a good combination of widths.

You can go crazy and buy the vibrator for them and the sharpener but
you would need to be using them a lot to justify it.

Good luck with it, I know it's an awful job.
