I purchased an old (well not that old) gas clothes dryer, tore the burner

turned it into an engine preheater.
I am amazed at how well it works, actually I am amazed that it works at
all.
The problem is the older I get the harder it is to pat my self on the back!

Wayne:

I have seen a variety of heaters, such as you described, on the intrenet.
The heater I built can only be used where there is 110 volt. What I would
really like to have is a portable one such as the Northern Companion, but
considering there size I am skeptical of there true ability.

I built a heater that doesn't use any power. It's a mister heater radiant
heater that screws onto a 20 lb. propane tank. I just built a box around
the burner that is open at the bottom and has 2 ducts coming out of the
top. It actually works very well but isn't really that portable because of
it's size. I'm now in a hangar that has 110v so I just use an electric
heater on a timer.

Have a probleme with PRC

The guys that started to build the floats I bought used Prc in excess. Is
there a solvent I could use (without damaging) to get rid of the extra PRC..

thanks in advance

Hi Hjalmar
I used MEK to remove some PRC1422 after having removed as much as possible
with a sharp modelling knife (without touching the ali skin)
It's hard work and only do it in a well fumigated and ventilated area. The
fumes smell nice (to me anyway :-) but are potentially lethal !!!!
