[rebel-builders] priceless tip

Post by kevin curtis » Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:49 pm

Thanks Ron
So, I should build a show plane that can be flown in the bush. Great idea, after all I will have a lot of guys looking at my work. I am sure there will be a chuckle or two.

Kevin's first query to the list has inspired me to pass along a priceless
tip I discovered by accident(s).

Nobody wants to compromise on structural integrity, but when you have to
accept less than perfect aesthetic results (most of us do sooner or later -
a ding here, a not quite straight rivet line there) you can say, with
feeling, "Hey, it's a bushplane!" Conversely, when you have to do something
over or work a little harder just to make something a little nicer, you can
say "Hey, it's a show plane!"

Both of these come in handy quite often. Which you choose may vary depending
on your audience -- other people or just yourself.
