[rebel-builders] Stabilizer/Elevator hing bushings for Moose.

I didn't use bushings but I know several builders who are now taking the
elevator off to create a bushing-attach approach. Folks are seeing wear in
the elevator attach points (though I don't have any yet in 101+ hours, and
didn't see any after 240+ hours in my previous Moose either).

I don't know of anyone that I can think of off-hand that is putting bushings
in the rudder attach points. I did see an interesting rudder attach design
in a Harmon Rocket last weekend. That design used Heim (Aurora) rod-end
bearings as part of the rudder assembly. I have pictures if anyone wants to
see them.

Hi Guys,

I'm at the point where I want to install bushings in the elevator/stabilizer
hinges before I close up the elevator. I think I also want to do this for
the rudder.

How have you guys done this? What size ( OD and thickness) bushing have you
used and how are they arranged?

I searched the archives but didn't get a hit.

Thanks,
Fred
