Rotec Radial Vs. Lyc -- Dilemma

Post by Jeff Micheal » Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:46 pm

Craig,

Like you wrote.... Lyc is a no brainer. Yes, Rotec Radial is a nice piece
of work and their getting more in field information feedback with regards to
engine performance and/or issues. The choice you have to make is do you
want something practical to use and maintain or an engine that looks great.
The Rotec HP/Weight Ratio is High and will there be anyone willing to work
on it ? What about getting parts for your Rotec ?

The Rotec is nice "eye candy" and you will always be center of attention
where ever you fly......... but at what cost ?

Things to ponder.

Cheers,
Jeff

Or...what about an 84" prop used on a radial engine radial engine with 26"
tires? Yes, I'm back in the radial/Lyc dilemma. Someone help me!! The
Lyc's a no-brainer. What about the rotec? craig
