No direct experience, but they do seem to have an excellent rep for both
products and service.

[rebel-builders] Catto Propellers ?

Hi Chris,
I love my Catto. It's on a 0-320 but I'm sure Graig could make exactly what you need for an 0-235. He will ask particulars on your engine and aircraft along with what your mission is. Do you want to smoke off the water or a nice cruise.
Catto started making props for the Long-ez bunch and the props have held up to nuts, bolts, and even exhaust system parts going thru it and still survived, thats what got me interested.
My prop has about 300 hrs on it now with no signs of errosion. I do have the leading edge tape on it and I do believe that is worth what he charges to put it on, but still even that shows no signs of wear.
As for performance, his prop has been on the winning stol aircraft at Valdeze AK for the last 2 years.
I believe they are well worth the expense too. They run between 1500 and 1800 for our props, the 0-235 beinng less expensive all that and they weigh less than 16lbs.too
I'm in the middle of a Long-ez rebuild and I just sent the prop for that back to Catto for a look over and repaint. That is from a Long that would cruise over 180 kts on 7.5 gph.
All that being said, there are some short comings. Retorque the prop bolts every 50 hrs, as the maple core does expand and contract with temp and humidity changes. Some folks are even using Belville washers to keep the torque more constant.
The worst thing I can say about Catto is if you want a prop by spring you better order it now! He is busy making props for RV's and Cub Crafters along with other specialtiy props.
IMHO
