Well, Jim, that certainly sounds like a fun plan, if you can swing it. Out
here on the west coast, we like to do Arlington, and then fly around
Vancouver and BC the next week, to make Nimpo the next weekend.
We've normally had a few amphibs at Nimpo, and would be great to also see
some wheeled Rebels and Mooses (like Ted's) up there on the dirt strip.
I am sure we can figure out where you can keep your planes near here (or in
Washington) for a couple months if desired, too.

Well there was a few of us sitting around the other day - dreaming
about our next cross country trip.
The thought occurred to us that it would be interesting to fly from
Toronto to Sun N'Fun,
then take 10 days to fly west towards the coast, ending up in the
Vancouver area. We then would like to leave our Rebels on the west
coast for 6 to 8 weeks, fly home commercially and then fly back out
in June or July so that we can spend a couple more weeks exploring
the west coast before flying home again.
Now that would be a challenge!
Some of the many questions that cropped up.
What would be the best route at that time of year - last week of April?
Do we stay east of the Rockies or is the coast flyable at that time
of year?
Where could we safely keep our Rebels (2 or 3) for a month or so?
With all the choices of where to head for - what airports would have
mo-gas, crew cars or be an absolute - do not miss?
We thought we would put it out to the list so that we can get some
opinions from the many builders right across North America. Any
advice would be appreciated.
Whether or not it actually happens, it's fun to plan, just in case
- "A plan comes together!"
Thanks
