MAM - Question for Bob P.

Bob,
I can understand the your desire to try and minimize and or eliminate the very
critical discussion of MAM's shortcomings on this public forum - especially
since this is the ONLY place any aviation enthusiast can get ANY information
regarding Murphy products since communication from the factory itself is non-
existent. I myself have experienced the frustrations regarding needed parts
for the rebuild of my Rebel and have also posted critical comments about
Murphy's inability to meet even basic business expectations like answering
phones, emails or heaven forbid actuallly being able to ship parts. Luckily for
me, I have a very talented Dad and Brother who have the ability and desire
to overcome all of these obsticles which resulted in my Rebel returning to the
air this past August after 3 years of work.
On September 15, 2008, Murphy posted a letter on their website that named
you as the new sales and marketing arm for Murphy and that all future kit
production would be completed based on an accumulated order basis - once
10 kits orders were accumulated with appropriate financing/deposits, a
production run would be started with kit shipment anticipated 8-10 weeks
later. So in the last 14 months, as best I can tell, Murphy has had exactly
ONE production run of any kits - the Maverick run that started in Jan/Feb of
this year. You continually post on this forum that they are running a skeleton
staff and up to their A** in Aligators. Now for my simple but sincere
question, and I'm hoping you will answer truthfully for all of the Murphy
enthusiasts on this site. What exactly are they working on? Because it is
very apparent - it isn't kit production or parts manufacturing to satisfy their
extensive backorder list.
