Hey Bob, I'm not aiming at you on this response...

Let me get this straight. Murphy Aircraft has a customer that wants to
spend money. In other words, Murphy Aircraft has an opportunity to make
some money on the windshield transaction. Yet, "they" are going to wait
"...weeks..." to respond? So, whomever up there has so much money and so
much business that they can afford to further piss off the customer and wait
to respond?

You have to be kidding me. Don't tell me one guy is so busy he/she is
"...doing their best." If I had a customer call at 5 p.m. I'd stay until
midnight to successfully resolve their question/product need.

Ted

Hi Cris !

There was a problem with the factory 'Shipping' emails -
apparently for a couple of months ....

They are now handing ALL Parts Orders AND Tech Support at:
MurTech@murphyair.com

Ask your friend to try again at that email - he will get an
answer within a couple of weeks, and delivery likely within
another few weeks. They are still on a skelton staff, but are
making and shipping parts, as best they can.

A few new orders are starting to accumulate, so maybe
we can get a run together for Rebels and floats soon, and
call some guys back to work in November.... That will
really help speed up the parts flow.

[rebel-builders] What kind of business?

From my point of view, at around the point that Robin Dyck and his wife left the company, things went downhill rapidly.

We've been waiting on parts for around 3 and 5 years, and we pre-paid. We've given up on it, and have made other arrangements.

The problem is, I like the airplane, and I just had someone ask me about buying a Moose kit this week. I wouldn't hand Murphy a cent at this point unless it was a COD deal. I show up in Chilliwack to pick up the box, they get my money after I've run the inventory.

That's just plain sad. Even if they started selling kits again, they'd be starting from the beginning, and they'd have a bunch of builders bad mouthing the company. Frankly, I'd think Murphy's best move would be to sell the company to someone else, but the market for kit plane companies isn't all that great during the best of times. He might just have to dig himself out of this by himself.

And Bob, you can't just yell and wave your hands, arguing wont make the problem go away. You don't have the funds to do kits up front, Murphy Air can't seem to get their business together, and I'd expect the next few years that wont change much.

I went through this a couple years ago and it is extremely frustrating to
have an aircraft stuck on the ground in the middlle of summer waiting for a
windshield. What really bugs me is MAM doesn't even do any work to sell a
windshield, less than 5 minutes emailing me then an email to LPaero. Mine
was shipped direct so they didn't have to repackage it or anything.
