[rebel-builders] gear leg parts -- alloy?

Many years ago Colleen told me that some of the fittings were 2024T3
which is stronger than 6061T6. I've never seen that in print and I have
some doubt as to whether it is true. Nor do I know of an easy test for
the difference but I figure 2024T3 is always safe if there is doubt. Or
a thicker piece of 6061T6. All other commercial and architectural grades
such as 6063, or less tempered material, are weaker. Well 7075 might be
stronger but it seems to be rare around my part of the world.

I'd like to cut out a couple new of the landing gear .125" plate pieces -- L32
and LG27 -- these are what join the bungee wishbone legs, or tie the axles to
the main gear legs. Anyone know what alloy these are?
Thanks ,
