Hello All
Any Rebel builder out there who can readily measure the length, tip/to tip
of there Teleflex cable? Mine measure 66 1/4" and I am concerned it might
be
about 3-4" short. I can not route it behind and over the 2" aileron torque
tube and reach the flap handle. Thanks in advance.

Hi Charlie,

My teleflex is 72 1/4". The one that came with the split flaps kit is I was
trying to sell is 66 1/4". They must have given you the wrong one. That's
no good. Sorry for that bit of bad news. CW

My cable says 4703gg5-072b, 3451 so guess I have a 72 inch cable, couple of
inches short but seems to reach but have to go pretty direct to connect it

I think what you have there is an Elite cable. It's quite a bit shorter
than
the rebel one !

My good friend in Brazil, Jose Gozzi, is on the final leg of his Rebel
project and is in dire need of the shorter Teleflex Cable for his split
flap/aeileron. He says it is supposed to be 66 1/4 inches long and has a
74
inch like mine.

Does anyone have one available for purchase and/or lease etc. so I can get
him flying ASAP? As soon as I can procure one from MAC I will return it
and
pay all the postages etc.

One of his sons will be coming to the US in a few weeks and I would like
to
have it available for him to hand carry it back to Brazil with him.

Or can anyone tell me who the vendor for the original is so I can go
direct
procurement or have the spare I have modified to the shorter length.

Paul... sorry I didn't have what you/he needs. They are a Marine industry
item and Teleflex gets it's name from the company of the same name...
although they could be a generic item bought elsewhere.

Did you try sending the factory an email as I suggested?
