Engine Mounting Brackets

Post by craig » Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:36 pm

To all those building the firewall area and anyone else who remembers, here's a question.

I'm fitting (I've learned to use the word "fitting" and not "installing" with this kit :) ) the Fus-85/86 combination on the inside of the firewall and both of the upper mounting holes are hitting the face of the FUS-86 fitting way out toward the edge, not closer to the center like I'd want. I'd say the hole will be about 1/4" from the edge. The engine mount bolt is a 5/16" I think. The lower ones were perfectly centered.

I've heard that the top two are a tight squeeze anyhow but I wondered if this was 'normal'. I'm confident that my holes in the firewall are correct.

Thanks in advance. Craig #207
