Has anyone had any experience installing an exhaust muffler after the
pipes exit out of the cowling? I plan on using the crossover exhaust system

Good idea. I replaced my no muffler crossover system with one from aircraft
exhaust systems that has 2 small mufflers and fits inside the cowl. I found
absolutly no difference in sound levels measured with a decible meter.
