Unfortunately, once an aircraft has been registered at more than 1320 pounds on wheels there is no going back to LightSport. Too bad as otherwise an engine switch to a Rotax 912 would do it. There are persistant rumors that the Light Sport gross might be uprated to include the C150 and like such as the upgrossed Ercoupe but nothing finite yet.
