So sorry to hear of your plight .... We hope you have something
lined up real soon !!!
I just got back from our Sport Aircraft Association of Australia
homebuilders' convention - of which I was the organiser ... (our version
of Oshkosh ... on a far smaller scale )(don't forget we have 1/20th the
population of the US ... and the same land mass area !)(minus Canada &
Alaska :-)...
and I spent a lot of time talking to Jon Johanson (the Aussie RV 4
builder / pilot who has now got 51 World Records under his belt .... and
flown around the world 3 1/2 times to boot) .... Jon is "up ther with
the biggies" in aviation, worldwide / past to present ... and a VERY
modest guy to boot !!!
Very interesting to note Van's comments when he speaks about the Rebel
to Jon ...
Jon says that Vans reckons the Rebel is the ONLY plane on the market he
considers "value for money and a threat to the RV series of aircraft"
Then if that is the case .... How come Vans is selling something like 4
times the numbers of kits that MAM is ?!?!?!?!?!?!
Then you look at descisions like your "dismisal" and the plentiful
stories of unhappy builders / lack of information & support and you
start to understand why !
If I weren't so god damn happy with the Rebel, I'd get stuck RIGHT INTO
a bitching session !!! .... but nobody in MAM is gonna listen if I do
anway ... so whats the point !?!

Well the Rumors turned out to be true. Today I was formally fired from
Murphy Aircraft Mfg. Not by Darryl personally as he was to much of a
coward
to come out of his office so he had Dean (His accountant do his dirty

for him as always!!! Reason given was Redirection of the company!!!
When I
asked for this in writing Dean said he didn't have to give an
excuse... and
sent me on my way.. HMMM isn't that what he says to his customers..
But you
know life goes on ... and mine will.... I am happy to have made so
many
friends in the past 11 years at MAM and will keep in touch.. I am just
puzzled on how Mr Murphy can sleep at night..
