Just a reminder to add the reinforcing plate joining ST-31 to the fin spar.
Good luck

I ASSumed (I am not an engineer) that the cracking and rivet popping stemmed

Since my Rebel is going immediately to amphib floats, I ASSumed that the
FUS-30 Wayne doubler was not necessary. Am I correct on this Wayne?
Thanks for the "heads up" Murray . . .

WRONG ASSUMPTION!!!
The Fus-31 to tail post modification/doubler and the subsequent SB
issuance by MAM was my doing. It is not from tailwheel operations
what so ever and the cracking rivet shear is STRICTLY from air loads!!!!
The Fus-30 doubler is to handle tail wheel loads!

Terry, wrong assumption if you are talking about the cracking of Fus-31
and the three post rivets shearing. I created this SB that MAM posted
2 years later and it is STRICTLY air loads that cause this FUS-31 to tail
post "failure".

As usual . . THANKS for keeping things (me) straight!
