Ken, What is the location, shape, size, etc. of your header tank. Any
pictures to upload?
Thanks,
Scott A.

Fuel header tank

Post by klehman » Fri Feb 17, 2012 10:04 pm

Hi Scott
It's an ugly rectangular prosealed tank, just over two gallons, with two
subaru submersed pumps in it, and a vent back to the wing tank cross
vent. It mounts on the sidewall in the fuselage bay behind the
wing/baggage area on the standard Rebel. It took a lot of work to make
and mount it in a hopefully crash resistant fashion. If I did it again I
would use a half gallon tank on the firewall with external pumps but it
does make a nice sump with a water drain and a float switch to warn us
if it is ever less than full. The tank and mounting straps are all made
but are not currently in the plane for an installed photo.

Thanks Ken, I will probably go with the ugly rectangular prosealed also,
but hide it in the floor on the SR. Still need to figure out lines and vent
line routing.
