I'm glad to have figured out the server portion of it... unfortunately the
work is just begining for me though. The problem was the device that allowed
me to put multiple machines on the connection... I had to remove it and
connect the server directly, that means the other machines in the house, and
the apartment we rent out no longer have Internet access! If it's not one
thing, then it's a dozen others!

Mike, my son Daryl's home from McMaster University (were he is taking
Computer Electrical Eng), until tomorrow night, if you want to bounce any
ideas off him. He runs a network in our house, as well as he had Hamilton
Cable give him internet access to his dorm room with which he back feeds the
University ithernet lines from a server he has hidden under his bed (to sell
high speed access to others in the dorms). He may be able to help you with
the hook up, if you want to tell him what you are using and how you had it
