Somewhere, recently, I saw an advertisement for a manual preoiler. Then a
senior moment struck and cannot remember where or who. If anyone can
supply a source I would appreciate it. The preoiler most often advertised
uses what I belive is an agricultural chemical pump which has been adapted.
It may work fine but was heavier both in pounds and wallet than I wanted.
Thanks,
Ralph Baker

Spruce sells a manual pre-oiler part# 08-06770 for US$157. That one
mounts on the instrument panel and draws oil from the oil sump. I've
never noticed
anyone using that one which makes me curious whether it is practical???
Bob
Does that hydraulic coupling seep oil? I always thought I'd need an
additional valve or cap of some kind to use a coupling for that purpose.
thanks
Ken

To Ken and all. No , the hydraulic coupling does not seep oil. It is a
fitting designed for 3,000 psi in a hydraulic system. Originally I was
skeptical to, and installed a small brass ball valve between the coupling
and block. I removed it when it was suggested the extra weight on the
fitting could cause cracking from vibration. Have not seen any signs of
leakage in 35 hours of flight. A great day to-day for flying. -I was able to
