SR Aileron Push Tubes

Post by Don Boardman » Fri Feb 17, 2012 9:38 pm

Hi All,

We are installing the controls in our SR and have a question.

The manual calls for the placement of the inboard aileron torque tube levers
to be 1 9/16" inboard of its mounting bulkhead. This gives a distance of
140 mm between the centers of two levers. These will connect to the two push
tubes that come from the aileron horn that is driven by the aileron cables.
The push tubes at the aileron horn are 125 mm apart. The diagram in the
manual shows that the two push tubes are parallel to each other. But140 mm
at one end and 125 mm at the other is not parallel.

Is there a reason the tubes are angled and the drawing should not be
implying they need to be parallel ?

What have others done? Found?

I will also email MAM

Thanks,
