issue. I can generally figure a way around what ever comes up but this has
me stumped.
Thanks,
Ralph Baker

Enjoyed your photos and text on the Murphy site. We are building similar
with an O-360 as tailwheel only. At present we are working forward of
carrycarry through to the firewall. The side panels and bottom panel went on
fine. The reason for this email is FUS 433 fit. This is the top "cover"
between the top of the firewall aft to the instrument panel. Our part
seems too wide at the rear. It fits fine at the top of the firewall but
must be arched to fit inside the vertical rectangular sections of the
itthrough to which the instrument panel attaches at each side. If arched,
Thecannot then be pulled down to the curved top of the instrument panel.
thereupper corner wraps attach at a rivet line at each side of FUS433 and
line.is a formed section for longitudinal stiffness just below that rivet
stiffeningAt first glance it seems that the sides of FUS 433 must be trimmed to fit
inside the uprights above the panel but then the rivet line and
bends would be trimmed off. That doesn't seem reasonable and the manual
and CD are silent on the subject.
Did you also run into this problem and if so, how did you solve it?
Thanks for any ideas,
