reamer/Painting/Security

Post by Warren T. Montgomery » Fri Feb 17, 2012 9:17 pm

Jason,

I've encountered the same problem reaming. What works is as suggested,
turn the chuck by hand or feather the on off switch for short bursts and
very low rpm.

Dave
The 6061 is low in carbon and high in silicon therefore not very
susceptible to corrosion. I think it's even better then the 5051 used in
boats. I just bought a 2 gallon kit of Strontium Chromate primer from
our structures shop for less then the 295 USD FEDEX wanted to ship a
quart of EP420/430. If starting over I'd prime all but not necessary. I
just like the color of green chromate. AA leaves most of there exterior
bare to save weight however it must be treated somehow as it's most
probably 2024.

Mike,
All seems normal in Dubai. My son hangs out with a Pakistani and a local
which he says has keep him out of trouble.
He wanted to go play guns with them using spring operated plastic pellet
shooters however I suggested that wouldn't be politically correct right
now and he agreed. A Canadian aircraft engineer was shot in Kuwait which
is concerning but there may have been other motives.
Our load factors are reasonable with booking for Xmas looking good.
Security and procedures have been tightened but the UAE is quite neutral
in these things, at least now that they don't recognize the Taliban.

Must go and cut my leading edge open now. The SR3500 mod has been fun so
far, but then I was never one to take the easy route.
