What do you mean, Rick--engine location--as in offset (?) for straight
flight (i.e. smaller/no rudder trim tab needed in cruise)?
I don't recall ever seeing any document from Murphy re engine stuff.

Comanche Society. --We had a convention on Hamilton Island a few years
ago with our Aussie members. --and yeah-- a silly/crazy streak seemed a
common trait among the blokes I met --not a mug or bludger in the
bunch--and the Sheila and I have a few cobbers as a result of the trip.

relative to the engine mounting holes along with where prop was relative to
the firewall. While I have everone's ear. I think it was intention was
for a Continental or Lycoming engine. So if you are using a different
engine there is the obvious CG of the engine that impacts weight and
balance. If the plain of the prop moves forward or aft 5" what is the
impact on performance?

I believe there is no engine offset for the SR/Moose using the MAM engine mount. It might be different for the Rebel, or maybe I'm thinking of the vertical stabilizer offset for the Rebel. But for the SR I believe there is zero offset for both. I'm using an IO-540 with the MAM engine mount so I have a near stock setup insofar as the MAM C of G diagram.
