I spotted this on a Lycoming forum. For those of you who may want to see the
inner workings of a magneto::

This virtual webpage on magnetos published by the University of North Dakota
Aerospace division, will show all the innards and the operation. Start by
installing the parts one by one. When complete click on "components" and
switch to "operation". Really shows how the magneto works. Took the
mystery out of it for me.
