[rebel-builders] Dynon ADAHRS install: Moose

Post by Ted Waltman » Sun Feb 19, 2012 8:42 pm

I posted a picture (big file--forgot to size it before posting) of my ADAHRS
install. The model ties into the back bulkhead and into the cabin roof.
The back shelf bracket is fixed in height. The front pair on each side are
designed so I could level the ADAHRS then drill the horizontal hole thru
each support Left/Right pair for a perfectly level installation.

Ted,

Nice panel. Where did you mount the Skyview ADAHRS? Do you have pics of the
ADAHRS installation?

Thanks,
Tim

I uploaded a picture of my new panel to "Area 108 - S/M Instrument Panels."
I spent almost two weeks working side-by-side with the folks at
Aerotronics
in Billings, Montana (http://www.aerotronics.com) to accomplish a major
upgrade of my original panel, adding a new Dynon 10" Skyview EFIS. I have
about 6 hours of flight time with the new panel--the added features,
safety
of having synthetic vision in the mountains and overall added
functionality
is a major plus in the plane.

The folks at Aerotronics, especially Jason Smith and Andre Todd, are
absolutely outstanding to work with. They don't waste any time--working
full-steam all day long. Their avionics and electrical knowledge is
world-class. I HIGHLY recommend them if you have any avionics needs.
Check
out their website--they have done thousands of custom experimental (and
certified) panels, including a number for Rebel and Moose.

Ted, a follow-up question... are you using the Dynon GPS receiver module and
if so where did you mount it?

Thanks,
Tim
