Master cyl mount/pedals

Post by mikeh » Sun Feb 19, 2012 8:41 pm

Having recently done this, it seems to me the best result is when the axis
of the master cylinder is parallel with the rudder pedal upright. This
causes the brake pedal to maintain a constant angle to the floor/your foot
throughout the throw of the rudder pedal, and also allows the pedals to be
positioned closer to the firewall without fouling. Some have positioned the
mounts a bit out of parallel to slightly change the angle of the brake
pedal through the rudder pedal throw. There are some pics in the files
section. I have no doubt mounting the master cylinders on the floor is the
best thing to do. Hope this helps. Cheers Mike
