While your in the measureing mode, could you give me an approxmate distance of how far forward of the rudder tube you move the bottom of the brake master cylinder? Found an interesting artice in kitplane mag a while back that stated the top of the brake pedal should move 1.5 to 2.0 x's as for as the attach point of the master cylinder. I always wondered why we have the same calipers as a 172 and cannot hold it above 1900 static. Now, how to do the most good with the least amount of intrusion!
As always, thanks for your help

As I alluded to before Jason.. Call your MDRA inspector.. they seem to have
n issue with no negative numbers in your W & B calculations. I guess
lexander can't figure out subtraction.....
If that is the case.. use your nose wheel or the end of the float deck as
our datum so everything is postive behind it. Be sure to get an accurate
easurement to the center of the door post or leading edge for when you
witch to conventional gear and to convert the Murphy 7.7 to 19.7 (or what
ver the current spelled out) WING range to reflect your datum.. IE: your
mpty C of G range is now gonna be MAM's numbers PLUS the distance from the
eading edge to the nose wheel or float deck end.

OK, I'll just take Wayne's empirical data report here as [almost]
complete
vindication of the probable accuracy, propriety, virtue, brilliance,

of my previously described measurement (spring gear axle center @ 0.5"

And definitely, worry no more. ;-)

The Spring LEAF gear... without any extreme regard for measuring

with a leg on the work table, the axle centerline appears to be
7/8" AHEAD
of the door post center line!
