[rebel-builders] Floor Channels and Seat Rails

Post by Ken » Sun Feb 19, 2012 6:30 pm

Separating them makes sense to me. I separated mine and also reversed
them, essentially making a square tube instead of an I beam. I did not
increase them to .032 as the seat rail makes the top quite strong and
the bottom fuselage skin strengthens the lower side.

Just about to install the floor channels that go below the seat rails. I
have upgraded the channels to .032 (St 28) but am concerned that when back
to back, they will not be wide enough to catch the rivets in the seat rail.
Has anyone put spacers in between the channels so that their edges will
align with the edges of the seat rail?
