fuel sight guage

Post by wrightdg » Sat Feb 18, 2012 2:02 pm

Does anyone know where I can get the .250" X .375" clear plastic fuel
resistant tubing used for the sight guage on the Rebel. FOKM is nearly
ready for flight - one more day and 4 feet of tubing.

Best I've seen locally is the amber urethane stuff from the local farm
supply.

Also, try your nearest ultralight airpark, as they use it a lot.

fuel sight guage

Actually had to work today Garry...getting around to my email. I actually
got that at a Home Hardware and did soaking tests with it and others I had
secured and that held up the best to 100LL. Let me go back out in the shop
and see if I can find the roll of it for any more markings and will see how
much I have as well.

Wayne - I managed to pick up some Tygon F-4040-A which is GE Plastics
answer for such apps. I'm pretty sure it will be ok so lets hold on the
shipment until I can confirm that. Thanks.

Thanks Walter. Calgary is a funny place about ultralights. There is one
airpark (Wayne Winter's place) but no suppliers there. Airdrie also
supports some of them but nothing there either. It must be the oil
business or something because everything can be found here - you just
have to know where to look.
