Hi Terry
The other Elite in the UK suffered similar damage a couple of years ago
while parked up... again, no control locks in place.
I've made a set for mine using old CD's and some model aircraft EDF foam,
some fence post eye bolts with nuts and washers. Couple of dollars per lock
and a larger surface area than the commercially bought round ones. (3 CD's
stuck together per side, 6 per lock seems to be strong enough :-)

Thanks. I will be checking everything during the repair.
Gust locks will be installed from now on, also for the elevator and rudder.
The aircraft was parked with the stick tied back with the seatbelt, but the
winds were gusting to near 90 km/h for quite a while.
