[rebel-builders] Looking for Rebel Builder

Post by rebflyer » Sun Feb 19, 2012 6:03 pm

HI Terry,
That is N97MR. Built by myself and Bill Kelly. I built the floats after Bill passed away.
The logo has always been a great conversation piece, and my usual comment is " It's not a Canadian Maple leaf, it's a Vermont Maple leaf." Or it's just a good conversation piece. (i was born and raised in VT.)
The airplane lives at PTK . Oakland County Michigan. Yes that is the 3 blade Catto prop we have talked about, unless it's an older pic when it had the Warp drive, if that's why you were looking.
The long-ez I'm working on is rapidly nearing the end. Loading the panel for the last time I hope. Looking forward to going faster again!
Any questions feel free to give me a call.

Hello Group:
I am researching three-blade propeller information and have a photo of an Amphib
ebel painted white with red and blue stripes sporting such a propeller. The
hotograph shows that the amphibs are also painted white with the same red and
lue horizontal stripes. There is a "can't miss it" red Canadian Maple Leaf logo
ainted on the tail (nice touch). Can't quite make out the "N"/"C" number
hough, so I am not sure if it is Canadian or U.S.
Was wondering if the owner of this Rebel Amphib is on this group so I could talk
o him off list about propellers on amphibs. If not, maybe it is possible that
omeone might have contact information (email/phone etc.)? Any help would be
ppreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Oh, one other thing, If you look close enough you can also see a star field off Old Glory in front of the 1/2 maple leaf.
