[rebel-builders] brake pedal parts

Post by bransom » Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:58 pm

I believe there's a typo in MAM, Ch 20 on brake pedals, but I was surprised to
not find it mentioned in the archives here. MAM says to cut a piece from
5/8" square FUS-14 tubing to use as a stiffener down the centerline of the
forward floor section. Wha? My kit came with 30 ft of 5/8" square
tubing, .035 wall thickness, labeled FUS-19. It's a little out of norm that they
don't give it a ST-nn name since it's from stock material. NOthing in my kit
labeled Fus-14, although MAM does refer to the door sill as Fus-14 after they
are cut from ST-31 stock.

So, if anyone can help confirm this as a typo, i.e. that there is just one kind
of 5/8 square tubing, that is, .035 wall thickness? It's first called for in the
dash to firewall braces, and I am assuming that it is what MAM means in Ch
20 brake pedal instructions.

Thanks,
-Ben/ 496R

Yup.
