Bell Crank Holder position

Post by Roger Cole » Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:54 pm

Can some of the Elite builders help clear up some confusion in the
instructions? Instruction 15.6.1 and Figure 15.6.1 show a 4 13/16-
inch dimension to position the Bell Crank Holder (CC-42). Later on,
in instruction 15.6.9 the Bell Crank Brace (CC-41) is centered on the
Bell Crank Holder. If I do that, the forward-most hole in the Bell
Crank Brace is left hanging in mid air forward of the cage
structure. Is the 4 13/16-inch dimension correct? Is there a
better way to position the Bell Crank holder?

Another point of confusion is whether the long arm of the Bell Crank
Assembly (CC-47-2) should point forward or the short arm should point
forward. The instructions don't say which is correct. Would the
Bell Crank Holder be aligned best if the hole in the forward end of
the Bell Crank is aligned with the centerline of the Torque Tube
(CC-35)?

Thanks in advance for your help.
