Derlin bearing block fit

Post by Joel Jacobs » Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:41 pm

Hi,
I've been working on the elevator controls where I'm mounting the
CC-68 in the RP-13 bearing blocks on the aft horizontal bulkhead. The
bearing blocks are a really tight fit. So, do I just enlarge the
holes in the bearings or should I start by removing the paint on the
CC-68 where it goes into the bearing. Does the paint wear off anyway?
I guess what I want to avoid is enlarging the bearing for a good fit
and then having the paint wear off and making the fit to loose. I'll
be having the same issue with the rudder pedals.
Thanks much,
Joel
