SR/Moose control deflection and spacers in torque tube

Post by Jason Beall » Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:32 pm

Folks,

Assembled my main torque tube and control sticks this afternoon. Man, what a difficult job. My fingers are too big!

Anyway, I have a minor interference problem with one of the bolts inside the torques that connects the CC-36 control stick base and control cable tangs together. It's at the far end of the travel of the stick. However, I don't think it's going to be an issue once the controls are rigged.

In the mean time, can someone tell me how far either side of center your control sticks move laterally side-to-side? maybe measured from the top or maybe angle in degrees either side of center? I just need a rough figure to see if this rubbing is going to be a problem.

Also, did everyone install spacers between their CC-36 control base and the tangs on the control cables to keep them centered? In other words: CC36 ear - spacer - tang - bearing for inner control tube linking two sticks - tang- spacer - CC36 ear.

Thanks, -jason
