HooRay!!! After a little over 4,000 build hours in 3 years, I finally took
Moose N384JP for the first flight this afternoon! What a great feeling and
what a relief! I posted four pictures in area "S/M 121 Completed Aircraft".
Everything worked just fine, engine performed well (Russian M-14P, 360HP+);
Moose flew straight and level after just a slight bit of rudder and elevator
trim. Fair amount of tailwheel shimmy on landing but that is something
easily adjusted before the next flight.
What a great feeling to fly something that I built and have everything
actually work correctly <grin>. As they say, keep on riveting folks as it
ultimately pays off handsomely!

Congratulations on a job well done...that is to say building and flying.
I am right on your heels. By that I mean I hope to be in the air during
the same year!!! If that won't work then make it the same decade!
Still looking on a way to get to OSH to see your plane.

Everything worked just fine, engine performed well (Russian M-14P,
360HP+);
Moose flew straight and level after just a slight bit of rudder and
elevator
trim. Fair amount of tailwheel shimmy on landing but that is something
easily adjusted before the next flight.
What a great feeling to fly something that I built and have everything
actually work correctly <grin>. As they say, keep on riveting folks as
it
ultimately pays off handsomely!
