Just wanted to nip this right here... I've seen to often what happens when
politics enter the discussion on other lists, and it ain't pretty! So lets
stick to the topic here please. If there is interest, I'd be happy to
configure another list for political discussions... as some of you know, I'm

rather opinionated about politics myself.

Thanks, Mike

You guys are right. It seems that our great country is circling the
drain....it truly saddens and angers me. The greenies have all but shut
down mining and logging in the northwest US and here in Alaska too. With
the election of Mr "Redistribute the Wealth" and the possibly democratic
majority in Washington, an ill wind blows. We no longer have an unbiased
media; most news sources were so pro-obama that even the left-leaning
Saturday Night Live made fun of it! But....if memory serves, it only took
four years of Jimmy Carter to get a Reagan so maybe it'll just take four
years of this clown to get someone else. My fingers are crossed.

Sorry for the rant. Aren't those Rebels awesome? CW

That's too bad Walter !

I don't see what possible difference it would make if a floatplane
landed there !! Some people ! :-(

Our freedoms are being given or taken away far too often
these days, often by people who don't realize the doors they
are opening for abuse of power !

Look at what's happening in the USA !

The hikers have gotten floatplanes banned from their favorite spots like
Garibaldi Lake and others, but since only floatplanes can get into
Phantom
Lake, and not the hikers, it is fair game.

Hi All !

I've added the notice for the January Builders Meeting to
the Upcoming Events section... dressed up a bit ! :-)

Sounds like you are enjoying your Elite, Eric ... Could you
please send along a picture or 2 ?? Thanks !! I could use
some more Elite pics - maybe all those happy fliers could
send one or 2 along .... ????

Thank you all for sending people to the site, and thanks
to Jim Cole for the 2 pictures he sent for the current slide show -
the shot of Walter's Rebel on the lake is just spectacular !!
(Fire Lake ??) Think I'll leave it up an extra week ...

The orders are trickling in - considering the economy,
I guess we're doing OK ! I have several on the list....
will be in touch as soon as a few more arrive.
There's sure a lot of interest out there still !!

[rebel-builders] No politics please!

Post by Mike Davis » Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:03 pm

I appreciate it. The Rebel Builders List is now 12 years old, and I think
it's one of the best lists I've ever been on (maybe I'm biased!). And while
I'd like to take credit for that, I've really had to do very little in the
way of moderating... we've just got a great bunch of folks who are very
passionate about the topic. I think we've probably covered just about
everything you could want to know about building a Rebel at least twice now
with 36471 messages!
