DO NOT use 2 bolts on that forward stab attach fitting.
Doing that will turn it into a very weak spar - something it
was not designed to be .... The struts are supposed to
carry the loads - by locking the front, you force the
front attach to carry the vertical loads instead of just
acting as a pivot.
Ken is absolutely right on this one !!! This could be a
classic example of something that LOOKED like a 'beef-up'
being something VERY dangerous !!
